At lunchtime, there is a bistro station within the exhibition offering a variety of food and drink options for a fee. Various companies will provide catering for visitors to the lunch workshops.

The German Spine Foundation (DWS) launched the charity project ‘Spinal Surgery in Nepal’ in 2024. Our aim is to improve and support the local conditions for spinal surgery care in Nepal.
The DWG Annual Conference is a valuable platform for raising awareness of our initiatives. Firstly, the foundation's board will present the charity project in Nepal to all interested parties at the annual conference in Wiesbaden with a presentation on Friday at 11:45 a.m. at the DWG stand. Secondly, this year we have organised the ‘DWS Challenge’ in aid of our charity project ‘Spinal Surgery in Nepal’.
The challenge will run all day on Wednesday and Thursday and until 11 a.m. on Friday. Participants can solve tasks, have fun and do good at the same time at the stands of the following companies in the industry exhibition:

New format for effective presentations of abstract submissions!
This year, Rapid Fire Presentations will be given a new stage on the Event Stage for the first time. Supported by silent technology, exciting interactive sessions will take place in the middle of the industry exhibition and parallel to the main programme.
Silent technology on the Event Stage:
Headphones will be available at the Silent Technology counter, right next to the stage. Operation is intuitive; pressing the button changes the channels. The Event Stage can be accessed on the ‘Green’ channel. Please return the headphones to the counter immediately after the programme item.
The Rapid Fire Presentations will be held on the event stage in the North Exhibition Hall.

Self-study terminals are available in the North Exhibition Hall, near the event stage, where you can browse through all the rapid-fire presentations at your leisure throughout the conference.
Your cloakroom and luggage will be looked after free of charge during the conference. The cloakroom is centrally located in the entrance foyer in front of the entrance to the plenary hall.

Georg Schmorl Prize
The research prize, worth EUR 5,000, will be awarded during the social evening at the Kurhaus on Thursday, 12 December.
Lecture & Poster Prizes
Three lecture prizes and three poster prizes will be awarded during the German Spine Congress. The award ceremony will take place during the social evening at the Kurhaus on Thursday, 12 December.
The lecture prizes are endowed with EUR 500, EUR 1,000 and EUR 1,500. The poster prizes are endowed with EUR 500, EUR 750 and EUR 1,000.
Young Talent Award
A Young Talent Award endowed with EUR 1,000 will be presented to medical professionals in further training or students during the social evening at the Kurhaus on Thursday, 12 December.
