Young Talent Award
A young talent award worth EUR 1,000 is available for medical professionals in further training or students.
Applications for this award are made when submitting abstracts.
Promoting young talent at the DWG
Students (not employed) receive free admission to the congress. Students who have presented an accepted abstract will receive financial support of EUR 400 after the congress (student ID must be presented).
Georg-Schmorl-Award
The research prize is worth 5,000 EUR. To apply, the complete research paper must be submitted by 31 August 2026 in English by email to the Chair of the Research Committee (Prof. Matthias Pumberger). The exact guidelines for this can be found on the DWG website.
Lecture & Poster Awards
Three lecture prizes and three poster prizes will be awarded during the German Spine Congress.
The lecture prizes are endowed with EUR 500, EUR 1,000 and EUR 1,500. The poster prizes are endowed with EUR 500, EUR 750 and EUR 1,000.
